Our School Community
UP intentionally serves a community that has higher needs than other BPS traditional and charter schools. Our students and families face inequities on a daily basis that have a direct impact on academic and life outcomes.
Most of our students and families come from underserved communities in Dorchester, Roxbury, and Mattapan. We’re deeply grateful for their trust and support, as demonstrated by our 55 Family Net Promoter Score, which highlights the strong loyalty and satisfaction of our families and students.
Cultivating meaningful connections with students, families and our local community is our superpower. We work to disrupt systems of inequity through exceptional academics, equitable access to opportunities and a deep commitment to community.
